:: The image shows the lovely conjucntion above the eastern horizon early this morning. Near the left bottom of the frame is Mercury just over the colorful twilight glow while Venus is shining left of the Moon’s sunlit crescent. The scene is completed by the silhouette of the Basilica of Saint John Bosco ::

The October’s special issue of Astronomy magazine “100 GREATEST PICTURES OF THE UNIVERSE” features 36 pages of spectacular astrophotography from professional observatories and astroimagers, selected among thousands of pictures. I am very honored to have one of my images among this stellar parade!

Wow what a thrill: my Perseid images have been featured on yesterday’s evening news on CBS! The images are receiving a great media coverage: among others, I would like to thank Earthsky (one of my favourite web sites) for posting them on an article dedicated to the 2012 Perseid meteor shower: see here.

One of my images featured on a new video by NASA
NASA just presented a video illustrating the conjunction show that will take place before sunrise in the upcoming days. With my great surprise, the last image of the video (@2:21) is that I took last March with my kids contamplating a similar conjunction 🙂
